BOLD Leadership Council

To increase its outreach to Bearcats of the Last Decade (BOLD) graduates, the Alumni Association created the BOLD Leadership Council. This group of engaged alumni partners closely with staff in the Office of Alumni Engagement on programming, communications and outreach to young alumni and current students.

The council's work takes place in standing committees described below.

  • Career Committee

    This committee's goals are to:

    • Work with the Events and Gatherings Committee to host a post-grad panel discussion
    • Engage members on Mentor Match and promote the platform to more BOLD alumni
    • Create opportunities for °®¶¹´«Ã½ alumni and students, helping them understand new career paths that are evolving and find networking events near them
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

    This committee's goals are to:

    • Highlight BOLD alumni during Heritage months
    • Ensure BOLD presence and engagement during alumni events and Alumni Of Color Network initiatives
    • Increase diversity within Mentor Match
    • Collaborate with the Events and Gatherings Committee to ensure DEI guidelines are applied
  • Events and Gatherings Committee

    This committee's goals are to:

    • Host two BOLD happy hours annually
    • Work with the Career Committee to host a post-grad panel discussion
    • Plan, advertise and facilitate a BOLD-sponsored Alumni Global Days of Service activity (or activities) that can unite BOLD alumni in Metro New York to volunteer and represent the strength of the BOLD community while forging relationships with area organizations
