Background
Chuan-Jian Zhong's research interest focuses on interfacial chemistry, with emphases on understanding molecular interactions, catalytic processes, and chemical reactions related to sustainable energy production, conversion and storage (e.g., fuel cells and batteries), environmental sustainability (e.g., emission control and reduction), and chemical and biomedical detection (e.g., chemical sensors and biosensors). The research programs feature both fundamental sciences and practical applications, and involve approaches from interdisciplinary areas of analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, electrochemistry, catalysis, and nanotechnology.
