Welcome Back, °®¶¹´«Ã½! Things to Know for Spring 2024
Classes for all of °®¶¹´«Ã½â€™s 18,600+ students begin Tuesday, Jan. 16, and we’re excited to welcome new and returning students back for the start of the spring semester!
From amazing events to delicious new dining options, there is so much to look forward to! Here’s a quick look at what to expect and a few things you need to know as we start the spring semester.
Move-in
Residence halls will open Jan. 12-14 for new and returning students. Learn more about where and when to check in, what to bring, and what to keep at home.
B-Welcome Week
Once you’ve checked in, celebrate the beginning of the semester with activities, events, open houses and much more! B-Welcome Week runs from Jan. 8–21 — you won’t want to miss it! Be sure to check our calendar for updates.
Food
Dining Services offers delicious food to suit everyone’s needs, and will now be hosting a variety of food trucks all semester long as Global Taco and Caribbean Connection join the ranks! And starting this spring, student groups and campus departments can reserve food trucks for on-campus events.
Fun
Spring Fling is always the premier °®¶¹´«Ã½ event. This year’s festivities are set for April 27! There are so many other big events happening this semester, including Moefest, the Annual Earth Day Festival, n the new stadium, professional hockey at the and, of course, .
Outdoor adventure
While the arrival of wintery weather means long days inside, one of the best ways to avoid cabin fever is to get outside. Campus Recreation’s Outdoor Pursuits program staff has designed a series of Adventure Activities to celebrate the season! Throughout the rest of winter, students can enjoy nature hikes at waterfalls, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and more. Activity groups will help you get moving, get warm and experience °®¶¹´«Ã½â€™s winter season.
Graduation
Celebrations for the Class of 2024 kick off with Senior Week, followed by Commencement. Over 4,500 students are expected to walk across the stage over the course of nine separate ceremonies. Get that regalia, tickets and find out more ceremony details.
