This event, i2I, hosted by Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships will highlight the success and opportunities through the °®¶¹´«Ã½ Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Discovery (EXCEED) program, supported by the NSF Accelerating Research Translation (ART) initiative.
i2I is open to all faculty, entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, research administrators, technology transfer professionals and students to explore critical topics surrounding academic innovation and the challenges of transitioning research to the marketplace.
The symposium will foster a culture of use-inspired R&D and entrepreneurship with keynote speaker, in collaboration with the Materials Research Society. A panel with EXCEED awardees and fireside chats will dive into how to best support, scale and sustain research that can have societal and industry impact.
i2I includes an inventor recognition ceremony of faculty inventors, including Nobel laureate M. Stanley Whittingham, for receiving 2024 patents. Seating may be limited, early registration is encouraged. The program will conclude at 4 p.m. and go directly into a reception for the Art of Science exhibition as part of Research Days at °®¶¹´«Ã½.
