Campus Pre-School & Early Childhood Center (CPS-ECC) sees a large number of applicants for a limited number of spots, so parents and/or legal guardians who wish to enroll a child are encouraged to apply for our waiting list as soon as possible. Please note that children may only be placed on the waiting list after birth, and applications containing a "due date" will not be accepted. The number and names of families on the waiting list is confidential. Our programs serve students as young as 18 months (by September 1) through 5 years old (pre-K).
Priority List
Open spots are filled in the following order:
- Families with children already enrolled at Campus Pre-School

- State employees/°®¶¹´«Ã½ alumni requesting part-time care
- Community members requesting full-time care

*Note: The term "students" encompasses individuals taking coursework at any level (undergraduate, graduate, or other). Additionally, students registered for 9 or more credit-hours have priority over those with fewer than 9 credit-hours.
If you wish to add your child to the waiting list, please complete the following steps.
Step 1: Complete your waiting list application on Brightwheel
Please use the following link to complete your application. You will need to first create an account for our childcare management app, Brightwheel. The application form will ask you for some basic information about you and your child, as well as your affiliation to °®¶¹´«Ã½, which is used to prioritize applicants (see above).
Once completed, you will then receive a confirmation e-mail that your application has been submitted, and your application will be marked as "Accepted pending payment." Please note that this alone does not reserve your spot on the waiting list (see next step).
Step 2: Submit your application fee to hold your spot
After submitting your application, you will receive an email within 1-3 business days requesting payment of a non-refundable application fee ($25 for currently enrolled families and current SUNY students; $35 for all other affiliations) via Brightwheel. Once this fee has been paid, your child will be placed on the waiting list. Your place on the list will remain until (a) you receive notification of an open spot, (b) your child ages out of the available programs, or (c) you request that we remove you from our list. (If you are offered an open spot and choose to decline it, but still wish to remain on the waiting list, our administrative staff will work with you.)
Step 3: Keep an eye out for notifications regarding open spots
Our enrollment for the academic year (August to June) is drawn from the waiting list as openings become available. If there are openings during our five-week summer session (July to August), we can offer admission to children over three years olds on the waiting list, though this does not guarantee admission for the subsequent school year.
If your child is selected from the waiting list for enrollment, you will be notified and sent enrollment information.
