HackBU Competition
HackBU is an organization at °®¶¹´«Ã½ that fosters a community of students who work together on projects that they are passionate about, outside the classroom. We exist to mentor students, help them learn the technologies that interest them most and get them excited about computer programming and problem-solving.
°®¶¹´«Ã½ Motorsports Baja SAE
°®¶¹´«Ã½ Motorsport’s Baja SAE team is a student-driven motorsports team that designs, manufactures, and races an off-road Baja race car. Each car competes in Baja Michigan and Baja Williamsport, competitions composed of the country’s top 100 universities. The goal of the competition is to follow key engineering practices to optimize performance while minimizing cost.
°®¶¹´«Ã½ Motorsports Formula SAE EV
°®¶¹´«Ã½ Motorsport’s FSAE team is a student-driven motorsports team that designs, manufactures, and races a Formula-style electric race car. The goal of the competition is to follow key engineering practices to optimize performance while minimizing cost.
Rover Team
°®¶¹´«Ã½â€™s Rover Team is building a prototype Mars rover to compete in the Mars Society’s University Rover Challenge in Utah. The rover has multiple subsystems requiring support from every Watson College discipline as well as students from the School of Management, Decker School of Nursing, and biology department.
Westgate Fund for Student Projects
The Westgate Fund for Student Projects was established in recognition of Dean Roger Westgate, who was the second Dean of the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at °®¶¹´«Ã½. The funds are earmarked to encourage student competitions and student-initiated projects in their senior design, capstone classes.
