Apply Online
There are several ways to apply; please submit one application:
The Common Application allows you to apply to over 500 participating schools with one application.
The SUNY Application allows you to apply to multiple SUNY schools with one application.
The Coalition Application allows you to apply to over 90 schools with the assistance of an online toolkit.
Note: There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee. °®¶¹´«Ã½ accepts specific application fee waivers for students who meet certain criteria demonstrating economic need.

Check Your Email and Activate Your Password
Beginning in early October, after we receive your application, we'll email you a Reference Number and User ID. Once you receive these, activate your account by setting a password. You must do this before you can successfully complete the rest of your application.
Note: The Admissions Office uses email as our main source of communication for important updates including application status notifications. If you are providing your school email, be aware of any policies your high school has that may restrict our messages from reaching you. You can update your email address at any time through the status checker. Add admit@binghamton.edu to your email contact list to ensure you receive our emails. Don't forget to check your spam folder! -
Submit Your Transcript
First-year students are required to submit a high school transcript. You should request your transcript from your school counselor. Official transcripts can be submitted electronically or by mail to °®¶¹´«Ã½, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P.O. BOX 6001, °®¶¹´«Ã½, NY 13902-6001

Standardized Test Scores (optional)
°®¶¹´«Ã½ is test optional which means standardized test scores are not required. All students must indicate on The Common Application, the Coalition Application or the SUNY application whether or not they want standardized SAT/ACT test scores included in the review of their overall application. Submit One Teacher/Counselor Recommendation
°®¶¹´«Ã½ will review one teacher/counselor recommendation. Submit your recommender as indicated on your application of choice.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) applicants may be requested to complete and submit additional academic and financial application materials. Note: EOP applicants are not eligible to apply Early Action.

Portfolio submission for BFA and BMUS applicants
BFA and BMUS are pre-professional programs and require a portfolio as part of the application process. A live audition is also required for admission to BMUS and Musical Theatre BFA. The application deadline for these programs is Nov. 1. All application materials, including portfolios must be submitted by Dec. 1.
Note: BA programs in the School of the Arts do not require portfolios or auditions. Students declare majors in BA programs once they are enrolled. Learn more about degree programs in the School of the Arts.
After Admissions receives your application, we will email you to confirm your intent to pursue a BFA/BMUS. You will be required to respond to a short form to indicate your intended program. All portfolio materials must be submitted through your application status checker (letters of recommendation must be emailed to portfolio@binghamton.edu directly from the recommender).

Check Status of Your Application Regularly
Once you've applied, you should regularly check the status of your application.
Interviews
°®¶¹´«Ã½ does not require interviews as part of the admissions process; however, you're welcome to meet with an admissions counselor for a personalized discussion. Applicants have the option to submit a 60-90 second video through . Videos are not required for admissions.
Dates and Deadlines
Early action deadline: November 1
- You must submit your application by November 1.
- All other required application materials (transcripts and test scores, if submitting) must be submitted by December 1.
- °®¶¹´«Ã½ will provide early action decisions by January 15.
Regular admissions deadline: January 15*
