An expert from his artist statement: "Understanding the roots of painting since the first person made a mark on the wall of a cave has always been of interest to me. I think of the power contained in these images for people who had no written means of communication. They developed a visual language that was in direct harmony with the environment in which it was created."
Born in NYC; BS, Art Education, New York University 鈥 studied with Philip Guston at the New York Studio School; represented by the Elizabeth Harris Gallery, NYC since 1994, having had seven solo exhibitions at that gallery and twenty-three other solo exhibitions at major national and international venues.
