Instructor and Teaching Assistant Guidelines

To make an appointment with the UTC, Instructors and/or Teaching Assistants must:

  • Submit a reservation request through RegisterBlast. Directions on how to make a reservation can be found on our °®¶¹´«Ã½ Instructors webpage.
    • Instructors requiring accommodations for more than twenty (20) students should contact the UTC for assistance.
  • Facilitate the prompt arrival and collection of exam materials.
  • Follow the Electronic Exam Materials Policy regarding the printing and scanning of exams.
  • Be available during the exam to answer student questions.
  • Promptly inform the UTC during exam administration of any errors found on the exam, any announcements made in class, and/or any changes to the administration of the exam (extending time, providing additional formulas, etc.).

Additional Policies:

  • The UTC requests two (2) business days notice for exam requests, whenever possible. Appointments are processed based on availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Exams with advanced notice are more likely to be accepted.
  • Students disregarding center guidelines, acting suspiciously, or suspected of cheating will be reported to their instructor and may be subject to disciplinary action.
  • Students can ask Testing Center staff for clarification on instructions only. Testing Center staff will contact the instructor with any questions or concerns brought to their attention during test administration.
  • The UTC is closed and proctoring is unavailable during University Holidays and when classes are cancelled due to inclement weather.
  • For the safety of our students, faculty, and staff; the UTC is unable to proctor students who are currently ill. Instructors will be notified immediately if the UTC is unable to accommodate their student upon arrival.
