Orientation schedule and Videos

If you are a student in F-1 or J-1 status, your participation in Orientation is essential, even if you have attended another U.S. college or university.

The Spring 2025 International Student Orientation will include a combination of pre-arrival videos and programs that you can attend in-person on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

*Note: A "New Student Fee" will be included on your student bill. This fee supports services and events for new students, including Orientation. The fee is charged to all international students in their initial semester. Your student bill will be issued after you register for courses.

Part I: Pre-arrival Orientation

The pre-arrival orientation videos will introduce a variety of important topics for new international students, including immigration regulations, health insurance, and recognizing and avoiding scams. All new students are required to watch these videos as they cover important information you must know to maintain your immigration status and be successful at °®¶¹´«Ã½.  Ideally, new students would complete these pre-arrival videos before they attend the in-person orientation. 

In an effort to make the best use of your time, this self-paced series of short videos can be viewed in less than one hour.

Part II: International Student Orientation

The interactive in-person components taking place on Thursday, January 16, 2025 will allow new international students to engage with one another, make connections, and get to know more about the °®¶¹´«Ã½ community in an informal environment. All new international students are highly encouraged to participate in our in-person events.
