Nuthatch Hollow

Nuthatch Hollow Bird Sanctuary

Nuthatch Hollow is a beautiful area of roughly 75 acres of woodland, stream, scrub land and grassland. The variety of habitat allows a great diversity of wildlife to utilize the area. It is a bird sanctuary previously owned by Robert Schumann and now the site of a proposed Living Building. Nuthatch Hollow is about three quarters of a mile up Bunn Hill Road from Route 434 (Vestal Parkway). The site was gifted to °®¶¹´«Ã½ University's Environmental Studies Program and will be used for research and education. Access is by permission only while the facilities are updated/repaired and plans are formed.

Moratorium

There is a moratorium on the general use of the facilities of Nuthatch until further notice.
