Pharmacy building
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is located in an ultramodern building on °®¶¹´«Ã½'s 15-acre Health Sciences Campus in Johnson City, N.Y., located 2.3 miles from the University's Vestal, N.Y., campus.

Building history
- Faculty and staff began moving into the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences building on July 16, 2018.
- The building officially opened in August 2018.
- The first cohort of PharmD students enrolled in 2017 and had class on the University's Vestal campus until moving to the new building.
- The school's inaugural class of Doctor of Pharmacy students graduated in 2021.
The campus is a few minutes’ drive from both UHS Wilson Medical Center and Ascension Lourdes Hospital, and also houses the University’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences and other healthcare-based organizations and high-tech businesses.
Building details
The 105,000-square-foot, four-story building includes ultramodern research labs; teaching labs; offices for faculty and staff; and interactive classrooms that can be used for lectures, team-based learning and small-group work. There are compounding, pharmaceutical care and sterile labs, mock community and hospital pharmacies as well as a cutting-edge simulation lab.
Nearly two floors of the building are dedicated to research with high-tech research tools and equipment as well as high-throughput screening capability and large-data computing.
Funding
New York state provided funding for the $60 million school in the state budget.
Research and Development Center
The pharmaceutical research and development center adjacent to the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPPS) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to performing preclinical experiments to evaluate drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy in vivo and in vitro. This center is designed to support drug development activities within and outside °®¶¹´«Ã½.
