Pre-Health Credentials Terms of Service

OPTIONAL USE

This is an optional, for-your-information system. Unlike the programs you access via , you are not required to use this system to view or maintain your pre-health file. If you would prefer not to have your information made available or stored in our database electronically, you can simply opt out of using the system by contacting the webmaster. If you have hidden your directory information, you may opt out of using this system.

The collection of information through binghamton.edu and the disclosure of that information are subject to the provisions of the . °®¶¹´«Ã½ will only collect personal information through binghamton.edu or disclose personal information collected through binghamton.edu if the user has consented to the collection or disclosure of such personal information. The voluntary disclosure of personal information to °®¶¹´«Ã½ by the user constitutes consent to the collection and disclosure of the information by °®¶¹´«Ã½ for the purposes for which the user disclosed the information to °®¶¹´«Ã½.

As a result, we require you to consent to the collection and reporting on this information via the checklist.

OPT OUT

You have the right to opt out of using the services and review your file in the office as opposed to this online service at any point. By continuing to use this service, you certify that you have not chosen to opt out of using the online service and agree to submit your information to our database and have information available online. If you would like to opt out of the online services, please notify the webmaster for an immediate removal of information. When you first log into the system, you are required to certify that you have read and agreed to these policies and that you consent to the collection or disclosure of the checklist information.

We assert that the application will not collect any sensitive personally identifiable information outside of your e-mail address and full name (directory information); we do collect and store the last names only of your references. We also collect that status of your pre-health file. As a result, the system uses password encryption and has anti-flood and anti-spam safeguards installed. While we make every attempt to protect your privacy and password information from malicious attacks, system or program errors and other potential breaches of security, we cannot guarantee such events will not occur.

We will never collect your social security number, in whole or in part. We will not solicit any information from you via e-mail. Your password reminders will only be sent to your registered e-mail address.

ACCOUNT, PASSWORD, AND SECURITY

You must complete our registration process by providing us with current, complete and accurate information as prompted by the applicable registration form. You also will choose a password and a username. Your password is for you, and your use only. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and your account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Harpur Academic Advising immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. Harpur Academic Advising and °®¶¹´«Ã½ will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. You may not use anyone else's account at any time, without the permission of the account holder.

NO UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE

As a condition of your use of the checklist, you will not use the checklist for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions and notices. You may not use the checklist in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair any °®¶¹´«Ã½ server, or the network(s) connected to any °®¶¹´«Ã½ University server, or interfere with any other party. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, the checklist, computer systems or networks connected to any °®¶¹´«Ã½ server through hacking, password mining or any other means. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available to you as an account holder through the services.
