The Decker Name
°®¶¹´«Ã½ received a $1 million endowment from the in 1989, which marked a growing relationship between the two organizations that share a common mission. In recognition of this gift (the largest the University had received at the time), the School of Nursing was renamed the Decker School of Nursing. Since that first significant gift, the Decker Foundation has supported the college by establishing named chairs in rural nursing and community health nursing, endowments that enable students access to education and funded equipment acquisitions. In 2019, the Decker School changed its name to Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences to more accurately reflect its programming.
