BU Computer Account and Google Workspace
°®¶¹´«Ã½ students, faculty, and staff receive a BU Computer Account and a University Google Workspace Account (e.g., username@binghamton.edu) along with access to services and systems based on their group affiliation, and in accordance with the ITS °®¶¹´«Ã½ Account Policy.
New Account Claim/Setup:
- Go to the to claim your account for the first time or for password resets.
- After creating your password, you will also have to set up your two factor authentication (2FA) to gain access to °®¶¹´«Ã½ systems. You should do this right after you set your password. You will also need to set up . It is recommended you do this the first time you log into your email account.
| Google 2-Step Verification is separate from the 2FA Authentication that is required for the CAS (Central Authentication Service) Single-Sign-On for systems such as my.binghamton.edu, Brightspace, and other CAS login systems. The Google 2-Step Verification just applies to logins for Google Workspace applications including your email and is set up through your Google Account settings. |
