Over 130 undergraduate and over 80 graduate programs are offered at ��ý through our seven colleges and schools: College of Community and Public Affairs, the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Management, the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science, and the Graduate School.

Education Abroad Programs

��ý encourages students to study abroad as valuable preparation for an increasingly interdependent world. Education-abroad programs provide opportunities to live and learn in societies around the globe. A variety of semester, academic year, summer, winter and short-study tours are generally available. Many academic disciplines are represented, and the Office of International Education and Global Initiatives (IEGI) encourages students to remain on track for graduation progress while completing coursework abroad. Graduate study may be possible at some sites as well.

��ý currently sponsors over 50 education-abroad and exchange programs in a wide variety of locations and sites — and new programs are constantly being developed. In addition, ��ý students have access to nearly 1,000 education-abroad programs sponsored by SUNY institutions, and even have the option of looking at programs outside the SUNY system. The education abroad withdrawal policy is guided by both the SUNY tuition liability schedule and the campus policy for broad-based fee liability. Financial liability for education-abroad programs begins to accrue on the first day of classes on campus at ��ý for the term the student is studying abroad. Education-abroad program fees paid for by ��ý, on behalf of a student, prior to the education-abroad start date are the full financial responsibility of the student, regardless of when the student withdraws from the program. Dual-Diploma Joint Degrees

��ý offers dual-diploma joint-degree programs in partnership with two universities in Turkey (Istanbul Technical University-ITU and Middle East Technical University-METU), and one university in China (Beijing International Studies University-BISU). These programs lead to the BS degree in Information Systems or Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science, in global and international affairs from Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, in business administration from the School of Management, and the BA degree in English and linguistics from Harpur College of Arts and Sciences.

To complete these four-year undergraduate programs, dual-diploma students from Turkey spend their first and junior years at one of the Turkish partner institutions. Dual-diploma students from China spend their first year at BISU and their sophomore, junior and senior years at ��ý. Applicants must meet all the admission requirements at their home institutions, as well as at ��ý. Degree recipients must meet all of the academic requirements for a bachelor's degree at ��ý and their home institutions. The page contains descriptions of courses offered by the University for your catalog year. You will need to select the Fall semester of the catalog year you were admitted to ��ý. For example, anyone admitted in either Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 would use the Fall 2023 catalog year.
