COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 10-hour OSHA Outreach Training Program for General Industry is intended to provide workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards. The training helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to a safe and responsible work environment. Course participants will undergo training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Some states, municipalities or others may require outreach training as a condition of employment, although it is not an OSHA requirement. The course is intended for workers and supervisors, and anyone involved in plants, manufacturing and health-care industries.  For more detailed information, click the link and word search your topic:
